Acorn Farm is an award-winning, family-friendly attraction in Kirkby, Merseyside. We’re open 7 days a week 10am-4pm and there's always loads to see and do! Whatever the weather, Acorn Farm offers a great value, fun day out for everyone!
We have a wide range of animals here at the farm, many of which you can feed and stroke. Our animals include sheep, cows, goats, pigs, horses and chickens, small animals such as rabbits and guinea pigs and even meerkats! We’re a working farm, so we often hav
Acorn Farm was created in 1985 on only 4 hectares of derelict land, which had once been a tip for builder's rubble, it is now an award winning visitor attraction which is home to a wide range of farm animals and employs 20 full and part time staff. I have just spent a lovely day at acorn farm celebrating my daughters 2nd birthday. Acorn Farm is delightful and I have to say very reasonable in price compared to other similar places (£2 admission for adults and £1 admission for children). There is plenty to do and lots of animals. The shop and café are very reasonably priced all you need is good weather!!!

Brilliant day out! We visited Acorn Farm today with our two daughters who are nearly 4 and nearly 2 and we had a fantastic day. The kids loved feeding and stroking the animals, and running around in the 2 play areas. We also met some animals up close at the small animal handling session which delighted the kids (and adults!) alike. The farm has a lovely atmosphere and all of the animals look well cared for and happy, we missed out on the horse riding because the wait was too long prompting our 4 year old to arrange a second visit before our first had ended! This was a great value day out (only £2.50 per adult and £1.50 per child) and I would highly recommend paying the extra pound to do the animal handling session. We thoroughly enjoyed it and will be back again.

Great family fun and inexpensive We visited the farm this Sunday (wife, myself and twin boys (2.5 years old)). This was the first time and will certainly not be the last. We paid £13 in total (entrance fee, food and small petting) and I feel this was excellent value for money. When attending anywhere as a family you sometimes can pay a small fortune to get in. I know places need to price accordingly but in some cases, I feel this rules out a lot of families. In this case, the £13 means we will be able to attend on a whim should we have 'nothing to do' The chance to feed and interact with the animals was great. Rather than just come and 'see' the animals, the boys loved the chance to feed them and later on stroke and pet them. I cannot speak highly enough of this place and would recommend it to anyone.
