The Cottage learning disability residential care home service

The Cottage is a residential care home service for people with a Learning Disability and/or Challenging Behaviours. The Cottage residential care home provides a homely and spacious environment that replicates domestic living to encourage individuals to be responsible for maintaining their own living space on their path to rehabilitation.

Service Users admitted may wish to avoid hospital admission but have a high support need, which The Cottage can cater for. Or if a person finds themselves in crisis they may wish to self-refer to the service to receive intensive care and support.

As part of the Healthlinc Pathway of services the Apartments benefit from availability and support of a full multidisciplinary team, including psychiatry services, psychology, social work, SALT and OT. Also, should a short period of hospital care be required during times of crisis this can be provided in the Healthlinc Hospital.
