SV Surveying Ltd was formed in Sheffield by Peter Vincent and Terry Smith in October 1988 and was originally named SV Land Surveying Ltd. It was formed to provide a complete Land Survey and Computer Modelling service to clients large and small. The company moved to the Midlands in 1992 and is now run by Steve Roberts operating from a central office in Ashby de la Zouch, Leicestershire. Covering the whole of the U.K. and abroad, we now have 5 survey teams with many years of experience in the use of modern survey equipment including the latest Leica GPS and Robotic TCRA machines. This coupled with years of practical experience using 3D terrain modelling software, ensures that our clients receive the most comprehensive and cost effective service available.

:: Land and Topographic Surveying ::

Topographic surveys are carried out using Leica electronic total stations to capture 3D observation data on site. This data is then processed in LSS surveying software to produce a Digital Terrain Model. The DTM allows contours, volumes and sections to be produced to the Client's specification. The survey output can be provided in various forms but in many cases the final information is provided in AutoCad format for design purposes.

:: Measured Building Surveys ::

This service is available to Architects large or small. All of our floor plan surveys are accurately measured on site by modern, "state of the art" Leica Laser Distance Measuring equipment. We use either DISTO or TCRA equipment running MBS software to survey and record the floor plans. All our surveys are drafted electronically using CAD using MBS, LSS and AutoCAD V14 and V2004. As a result all our output data is available as either digital data or as a traditional paper plan.
