Are you looking to for a used car at great prices? Do you want a reliable motor vehicle at low cost? Do you want “……cars to suit all needs and our personal service means that you can trust us to provide you with the right used car?” If so and you are thinking of visiting Partexclearance.co.uk in Colne, Lancashire, and trading across the whole of the UK via the web site then come and meet Mr Brian Lordases the man who is Owner/Manager of the company and his happy team of motor dealers and see what he can offer you as your next reliable low cost car with his very own personal service…… But, before you part with a single penny to this “dodgy dealer” which is selling cars that not only are unroadworthy; they are structurally unsafe, breach the Construction and Use regulations, and as such invalidate your Motor Insurance………….just like the “rot box” he sold to one customer recently, take a look at the vehicle his business recently sold to one customer, and decide for yourself….is it reliable? Does it suit your needs? And can you afford this level of personal service? The lady in question bought from him a 1995 Land Rover Discovery, with a MOT due to expire in March 2012, and took the vehicle back to her home in Northern Ireland. Within a few weeks the exhaust / catalytic converter failed, a part which does need replacement on occasion and to effect repairs the vehicle was taken to a local garage and placed on a lifting table. The photographs attached are a small selection of over 70 images taken under the vehicle whilst being examined prior to repairs. So bad was the condition of the vehicle, chassis members, rotted, holes in structural metalwork patched with tin plate a bolt and silicon sealant, chassis repairs effected by bridging gaps in structural members with patches, that the vehicle had to be removed from the roads in order not to both break the law and invalidate the insurance on the car. Mr Brian Lordases was contacted by telephone (eventually) and email provided with copies of all the photographs of this vehicle, and asked for a full refund as he had clearly sold a vehicle not fit for its intended purpose….and indeed one which should have never been on the road. His response “Well its got an MOT”. He followed this comment with a reluctant agreement that the MOT had no bearing on the condition of the vehicle he had sold, and agreed when asked that the degree of corrosion in the vehicle he had sold could not have occurred in the time between the MOT and the date he sold the Land Rover. At this point he was asked for a refund on the vehicle and his proposals of how he intended to reimburse the purchaser. When pressed further about his duty to customers and asked if he had inspected the vehicle before allowing it to be sold………..Mr Lordases stated “ I just sell the cars” and followed up that customer friendly approach to personal service with “I have never looked under a car in years” After much fruitless discussion on behalf of the purchaser of the vehicle with Mr Brian Lordases, it was suggested that unless he make full recompense to the purchaser of this vehicle that she would take legal action to recover her losses. His personal service driven response was “That’s what limited companies are for. I know about Company Law, and you can’t get money off a company which doesn’t have any!” The strange thing is nowhere on the website for partexclearance cars of Colne does it ever mention the business being a Limited Company…. So not only does he sell dodgy motors he is also breaking the law under a wide selection of Companies Act regulations. So, you decide, Do you want a car like this one? Do you want to deal with a motor trader who only takes cash?.....wonder why that is? Do you want to discover that when you have a complaint the trader hides behind a company he keeps hidden when selling to you? Do you want to deal with a company “that has no money”……you decide. PLEASE IGNORE THE STAR RATINGS I AM NOT ALLOWED TO GIVE THEM NO STARS....AND THATS MORE THAN THEY DESERVE
