About Electron VAT Consultancy Ltd

I established Electron VAT Consultancy in 2008 after a career of over 18 years with HM Customs & Excise, and then HM Revenue & Customs. During my career with HMC&E/HMRC I experienced the full range of their activities culminating in being appointed a senior officer within the Tax Avoidance Partial Exemption (TAPE) team

Why Electron VAT Consultancy?

Over 25 years experience as a VAT specialist within HM Customs & Excise, HM Revenue & Customs, and in private practice.

75% of my clients are chartered accountancy practices that require professional VAT advice, and like most accountants do not have an in-house VAT specialist.

I have been employed by leading tax investigation firms for consultation on VAT matters.

I have a 100% success rate at the Tax Tribunal, both representing my clients at hearings and mainly with HMRC withdrawing their cases prior to a hearing date. Please note, since 2009 you are unlikely to be awarded costs therefore HMRC are attempting to take the most debatable cases to the Tax Tribunal.

My rates are very competitive. Also, I do exceptionally offer fixed rate terms because I undertake a lot of complex VAT work for the charity and non-profit making sector.

My client base is nationwide. It is not unusual for me to never meet clients due to the ability to use and adapt to ever-changing communication resources.

My service as a VAT consultant can include general advice, retentions, sub-contracting and informal partnerships.

Whilst I specialise in VAT, I do offer advice on other indirect taxes e.g. Import Duty. I also have a network of fellow consultants who can provide other services, if required.

Finally, the aim of Electron VAT Consultancy is to serve the customer and I have a fantastic record of repeat business.
