Sandy and I Steven stayed at the Cornhill Hotel on the 3rd -5th of march 2006 the entertainment was average, the food was good, served quickly, must commend the staff there, thus it was not(most important)accomadation was basic+. . . Staff were helpful there was no drama. . . The hotel itself is situated in an ideal location on the promenade and next to the pleasure beach we basically had a good time and for the bargain price did not expect more (thanks)

We stayed for valentine's weekend. 10-13 Feb 06 beds are only 3/4 even the four posters which were dipping in the middle with spring's coming throught, speaking to other couple's they are all the same. Food portion's were small and staff not very helpful, enterianment poor they inform us if you go out at night you must be in by midnight, you don't get a key for the front door only the bedroom door which you are charged a £1 for not returned hotel not as advertised in the new's of the world.

Cornhill Hotel

Although I read the review from Mrs Henry we felt we would give the Cornhill Hotel the benefit of the doubt, and booked up for a short break with our children. This proved to be a major mistake. From the moment we arrived one elderly female member of staff in particular made it clear that she did not like children and was not capable of being civil towards them. Our children are extremely well behaved, a point that was made by many other guests in the hotel. We have stayed at many hotels and B&B's all over the country but We have never felt hostility towards our children as we felt here and it has since put us off Blackpool forever. One example of many we could mention was during the evening meal our son had the temerity to ask very politely for ketchup. Without any reply the aforementioned member of staff returned and THREW one sachet of ketchup in front of him and walked away without a word. For anyone with children looking to book a hotel in Blackpool do not, I repeat do not risk setting foot in this place as our experience at this place is unforgettable, but for all the wrong reasons.

Haveing read the review of mrs Hendry i stayed at the cornhill with my 3 great grandchildren and found the staff and especialy mrs mckenzie more that pleasent .But then my kids did not run around screaming and shouting during the performance of the artists seems to me to be a case of "my kids are doing as they please when they please" to me and to heck with other people enjoyment . so if the above doesnt like it ui sugest they stay at a zoo next time .i rate the cornhill one of the best in blackpool for cleanlynes and service

I stayed at the Cornhill with my Husband and two Grandchildren aged 9 and 5,they are very well behaved kids but were told off by staff and owner many times for trivialitys, another couple had the same trouble with their 3 year old. It was ok otherwise but would not advise anyone to take children, we will not be back.

Last year my husband and I stayed for the weekend at the Cornhill. It was our first time at this hotel and was very impressed. We were warmly welcomed after our long trip from london(it was a weekend in march when we had unexpected snow) and were shown to our comfortable warm room. Meals were a a feast! You didnt go hungry thats was for sure as food was lovely and plentiful. Entertainment was also available for the evening and was quite enjoyable. On the whole we did have a lovely stay at the Cornhill and hope to be repeating it again very soon.
