Michael Rose was born in 1976, London, England. He first discovered his artistic ability at the young age of 5 when he won a nationwide primary school competition for a painting he did marking the celebration of Prince Charles and Lady Diana's wedding day. Upon leaving secondary school he decided not to follow further education, but instead started up his own business in the art of tattooing. He opened his first registered tattoo studio at the young age of 18 in 1994. Since then Michael's artwork has been published in newspapers, magazines and books all around the world and his name has also been featured on the front cover of magazines. To add to his attributes he is a multi award winning artist with awards won in the UK & abroad. Michael's career has aloud him to travel the world working at conventions with some amazing artists and meeting new clients. In recent years Michael started to experiment with other mediums and quickly enjoyed using coloured pencils and an airbrush to create photo realistic artwork. In 2016 he opened the doors to

Michael Rose School of Art, where he hosts guest instructors and is also dedicating himself to helping others reach and realize their artistic goals through a variety of unique 3 to 5 day artist workshops. Michael also continues to tattoo at his studio in Hertfordshire, Michael Rose Tattoos & Piercing where he enjoys working with clients and their design ideas. Michael is happily married and has two children and they all enjoy family days out. When asked to describe himself he simply says "Husband, Father, Aspiring Artist, Tea drinking biscuit lover".
