Welcome to Cherry Tree Day Nursery, a modern yet friendly child care nursery situated in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire, UK. Established since 1994, we cater for children from as young as three months right up to the start of their school career.

Staffing
Nursery nurses with NVQs 2-3 and NNEBs, staff Cherry Tree Bilingual Day Nursery. All members of staff hold current First Aid, Food Hygiene and Child Behaviour qualifications. We aim to provide the highest staff to child ratios for the profession, individual attention and on going training. Although qualifications and experience are paramount to our philosophy, staf fs are mainly selected for their positive, caring, friendly, loving and dedicated attitude to children, staff and parents. We operate a key worker policy, which gives both the parent and child close contact with one member of staff. The key worker will provide a daily feedback verbal/written of activities of your child's progress.
Spanish
One unique aspect of the Nursery is that we provide a gentle introduction to the Spanish language for all children that attend the nursery, with games, activities and songs. This helps the children to understand and respect other cultures and at such a young age it has been proven language is absorbed and learnt faster than at any other time in the child's life.
For parents/guardians there are Spanish courses available via the Escuela Madrid for beginners to advanced, to help you understand, or simply to have fun, meet new people and enjoy Spanish parties, restaurant outings and the opportunity to order your meal in Spanish. Adult lessons are held in the evenings and on Saturdays there are lessons for younger and older children who have left the nursery and would like to continue learning Spanish or any parent who understands the importance of early language learning for their children.
Our Philosophy
We are not complacent but we are reflective and aspire continually to do better. We look at areas of weakness and learn from mistakes as we are highly motivated to move forward. We are grateful to anyone who gives us any suggestions as we never stand still; we are always striving for more.
We support parents and carers who are worried. We are open and honest with them. We ask and listen to the feedback from children, parents, and staff questioners in order to maintain a continuous improvement.

Cherry Tree Bilingual Day Nursery's central educational philosophy is that all children from birth to six years are born with tremendous powers for learning which we must support and encourage. Our Ethos is to provide a carefully well planned designed environment to satisfy their thirst for knowledge, which they want to soak up in all areas of learning: language, mathematics, geography and the world in which we live, history, science, art, music, drama and spiritual and ethical matters.

Her numeracy and literacy skills have greatly improved since she moved up to the pre-school class. All the teachers are dedicated and always work hard to improve the children learning skills. Even when she is upset in the morning because she doesn't want us to leave. The Manager gives her a balloon and she completely forgets she was upset. It's very reassuring that they send us messages throughout the day to gives us updates on how she is. We love Cherry Tree.
