As Lee said, Kaos nightclub is the place to go if you are a Southampton Solent student. As a former Solent student (well, Institute when I was there), I had some outstanding nights there and the music is perfect for alcohol-happy students.Check out the drinks, too. Cheeky Vimto is my favourite but I was partial to the radioactive-looking Shrek! You will get sweaty, you will bump into people on the heaving dancefloor, but this is all part of the fun.

I never even discovered Kaos until my second year at uni. Do not be fooled by its somewhat shabby exterior - it is the most fun you will ever have on any UK dancefloor! It has everything, cheap booze, a DJ who doesn't mind when you hand him a list of 30 songs: he will usually play all of them, the best cheesey music for miles around, a pleasing selection of talent...the list is endless. Because it's students only the atmosphere is great. You get to know people there and meet up with the same people every week so it's like a big extended family. Ok the toilets leave something to be desired but it has a nice garden (sort of - well a concrete outdoor area with benches anyway) and it's dirt cheap. The reason I could afford to go there every Friday and Saturday when I was at uni was because I could get pissed on a tenner. It's fab, the only problem is that it's not open during uni holidays but everything else about Kaos rocks. Now I have left uni I really miss it and am considering moving back to Southampton just for this outstanding club. Yes, really!

80p for a vodka and mixer, great student atmosphere and banging selection of cheesy dancing music and all other stuff. Possibly to avoid a licencing agreement Carling is available from the cloakroom for £1. Tues, Weds are the cheapest but saturday is happening. Do not miss out on a night of chaos in Kaos. P.I.M.P. P.S. This place deserves 12 out of 10.
