“Fantastic Food and Service at Excellent Prices” Reviewed 4 April 2013 Andre and his wife Jane took over the Pub on the 12th March 2013. My wife and I eat out three times a week locally and were looking for something a bit different to the norm. Well this is it. We have been twice in the last week. The food is cooked freshly, no micro-waving, (nothing wrong with that of course), but you will have to wait ten to fifteen minutes for your food, but I assure you it is well worth it. I have had Sea Bass twice now and it was superb on both occassions, it will be different fish every week or so, and my wife has had Spaghetti Carbonara and Chicken Casserole. Both were plentiful and excellent. The prices are very good £7:50p for each meal, unbelievable. .....The beer and lager prices are on par with the other pubs in the local area with a good choice of both. We hope the choices and standard are maintained, if so we will be coming here at least once a week. The menu is extensive and also includes, sandwiches, baked potatoes etc. etc. The sweets are also excellent. ...... Highly recommended. Visited April 2013

“All new, the old farmers arms is now a pup to be reckoned with in the area, good food and ambience to go with it." Reviewed 26 March 2013 via mobile Popped back to the arms a few weeks ago only to find Jane & Andre at the wheel. New landlords and what a change felt like I had known them for years. Whats more the food is excellent, with a plate service in the week and a fantastic carvery on Sunday. They plan to spice things up also in the coming months with tacos and hog roast. Jane and Andre have a travelling past beeing to Malaysia, Egypt etc so I guess the term local supplied food with a touch of world flavours will be well received. Well done you two and thank you for a fantastic carvery this weekend. The cards after dinner was a special touch. Mark J “Sunday carvery" Reviewed 5 May 2013 via mobile Popped back to see how things are going and had to wait for a table recommend you book a table at weekends the place was packed and buzzing.
