Perfect until the deposit!!!
I hired a vehicle from Chelmsford van hire on a bank holiday weekend. When I collected the vehicle I was asked to leave a £300 deposit via credit card. Upon returning the vehicle I parked it in their yard and popped the keys through the letterbox, and was happy with the service until I received my credit card statement when I realised that they had only paid back £233 and not the £300 for the deposit. I've spoken to the company and they have told me that it was because we bought the vehicle back late even though I was instructed by the chap during my safety check not to return the vehicle until Monday evening as they will be closed and due to the parking restrictions. I've told them that I'm not happy and we'll not be using them in the future.
