Very Poor. We had gone for a weekend break and upon arrival at the hotel we checked in. We had this very good impression about the hotel before we arrived there as this is "Thistle Hotel" which is meant to be a five star hotel. Anyway when we went up to our room i went to the toilet and noted that it wasn't cleaned properly. The Air conditioning was not working. The TV reception was not working. Although i must admit that when we complained about the AC the maintenance man came down and checked it out and got us a new room. There is one thing i must point out and that is after paying for the accomodation, the hotel should give its guests free parking. The hotel has its own parking entrance (Which can be easily missed) we entered from the other entrance and we were stuckthere for almost 1 hour as the system for parking was one car out and one car in. However if you entered from the hotel entrance i think its different.

The thistle hotel on the seafront near town, in brighton is a lovely glass fronted building that looks like a fine place to stay. But friends or ours stayed there a while back and to be honest it was over priced and in need of a serious make over. Ok so they had come down to brighton on a bank holiday and had been seduced by it as people are, wanted to stay over night at the last minute and ended up at the thistle. It was the best they could get and even so was a full on £180 something for the one night, ok so the hotel saw them coming, they had not pre booked on the net and had to pay a much higher rate. When we met them we all realized that they had paid to much for what was a slightly shabby hotel, but it was all they could get and many of the hotels here are not as good as they could be once you get inside.

having stayed in this hotel a couple of years ago and then again recently i feel that it is a little dated and could do with some TLC.
