For over two decades Concorde 2 has stood at the forefront of musical innovation. Widely recognised as Brighton's premier live music venue and night club, and often quoted as one of the greatest venues across the country, it has played host to some of the greatest bands the world has ever seen.
Oozing with character and style, Concorde 2 is a classic Victorian building, originally used as tea rooms in the 1800's. In the 1960's it became a notorious bikers cafe and in the 1970's an amusement arcade, before it was eventually transformed into all its current glory in 2000.
Concorde 2 has had the pleasure of hosting some of the world's greatest bands, from Bloc Partys secret gigs, to The White Stripes first ever UK appearance, Jarvis Cocker making his solo comeback, and Kaiser Chiefs playing an amazing show with an energetic Ricky jumping into the audience at every opportunity.
The fantastic Scissor Sisters have also thrilled the Brighton crowd when they performed on several occasions, as well as The Gossip before they both began selling out many thousand capacity venues.
Concorde 2 is also a breeding ground to new talent, with many of the hottest local acts making their name here, such as the Kooks, the Ordinary Boys and the Maccabees, to name but a few.
With loads more groundbreaking events scheduled in all the time, from a legendary motown artist such as Martha Reeves and the Vandellas to kickstart the week, UFO in the Wednesday slot and one of the UKs biggest new bands Foals by the weekend, it's well worth checking back here regularly as you wouldn't want to miss out on any of the brilliant shows we have coming up.
