Projet Brassens/Jake Thackray Project weekend

We were there on the weekend of the 17/18th September 2004. OK, I admit that I am biassed, as I am a fan of JT, but as a first time visitor to Torrington, (and a world traveller to boot), I was most impressed by the friendly welcome of all the staff who, without exception, worked very hard to make our visit enjoyable. Well worth going for lunch in the airy café section. The facilities there are very impressive-especially the availability of excellently prepared food and a comprehensivly stocked bar! The theatre doubles as a cabaret and cinema and they have a full future programme. Wished I had longer to stay for the excellent upcoming series of films and the stage productions by the local Rep Company. Oh and ample parking is available round the corner next to the 1646 Centre and Information Bureau off South Street.
