Public Liability (or PL Insurance as it is sometimes known), covers your liability for any damage you may do to another person - or property - accidentally whilst undertaking work. This could be a simple accident such as someone falling over your computer cable through to more serious issues that could leave people scarred or disabled for life.
Public Liability Insurance should be considered essential if members of the public or customers visit your premises or you travel to your customer's premises. The risks of not having PL Insurance are not worth it due to the substantial costs you are possibly liable for.
Commercial Property Insurance
This type of insurance covers commercial properties such as shops, restaurants, cafes, hotels, industrial units and offices.
Unoccupied Property Insurance
Most insurance policies offer restricted cover when a property has been empty for more than 30 days. Additionally, most insurers will not offer any cover beyond renewal date or to new customers. We have a range of policies that can offer cover for almost any type of residential or commercial property, whether it is empty awaiting sale, being refurbished or is simply between tenants.
Property Owners Liability Insurance
This type of insurance covers buildings or just land, for liability to a third party such as a member of the public being hurt whilst on your property. We currently cover private land, residential associations, lakes, wharfs, private roads, woodland, grazing land, let property, fields, car parks and burial grounds!

Residential Landlord Insurance
This type of landlord insurance covers buildings and contents of rented properties for residential purposes such as houses, flats, maisonettes and bungalows.
Holiday and Second Home Insurance
This type of insurance covers properties which are either for your own use, or family and friends as well as let to someone else on a commercial basis.
If you are involved with extending, refurbishing, converting a building or a "new build," you are probably responsible for the work until it has been completed and handed over to the owner. If your work, for example, burns down, before handing over, you will be liable for all of the costs of doing the work again. Additionally, you may have materials, tools, plant and site huts, all which will require cover for loss and damage. This is where a contractors all risks insurance policy really can help. Please note, if you are refurbishing a building, the existing structure will still need to be insured by the owner.
If you are undertaking a self build project - that is to say that you are building a house that you will move into after completion and use as your home - you will require a self build insurance policy which includes contractors all risks insurance, public and employers liability, plant, tools, and materials insurance, all in one package of cover. Please click here to see our specialist web site for self build insurance.
Premiums start at £160.65 for contractors all risks insurance if combined with public liability insurance or £367.50 for a "stand-alone" policy. Extra is charged for optional cover such as own plant, hired-in plant, site huts and employees tools insurance. To obtain a contractors all risks insurance quotation, simply complete the form below and submit.

Insured my 5 acres with Versatile. They quoted me for a smallholders policy but it was too expensive for what I have, but they also do just public liability for £106.00. Bargain!

I have been a client of Versatile Insurance for 3 years and have always found them helpful. I shopped around for quotes when my office insurance came up for renewal in July and found they were still the cheapest within a few pounds. This makes a welcome change from my car insurance which is cheap one year but then goes up a lot the next year and I have to keep on changing my company. I see they also arange professional indemnity insurance and will ask them for a quote when it is due for renewal. I can definitley recommend them.
