I live in a Green Belt area where it’s almost impossible to get planning permission. I suffered from a restriction on my property’s permitted development rights imposed by the Council in 1993. I discovered that such conditions should only be imposed in exceptional circumstances and I approached various consultants all of whom dismissed the possibility of getting the condition lifted. Paul gained 16 years extensive planning experience as a local authority solicitor. He did not rule out my case as “difficult” or something beyond him (as the other consultants had). The application was made to a very difficult Council and the Inspector at appeal found their inaction was “unreasonable behaviour”.
