About us
Ellen House Bed and Breakfast is situated in Matlock, Derbyshire, on the edge of the Peak District. We are ideally situated; on the outskirts of Matlock in a quiet location, but still only a short walk from the town centre and restaurants. If you arrive by rail you can walk to our guest house from the railway station.
Our elegant Edwardian house is furnished with great attention to detail to ensure that extra degree of comfort. There's also an attractive terraced garden with views of the town and countryside for your use.
Our delicious breakfast is sure to set you up for the day. You can choose from a full English, Continental breakfast (with cheeses, ham and home made muffins) or, our speciality, vegetarian/vegan breakfast. We'll provide you with an extensive choice from a menu consisting of appetizing and freshly cooked dishes.
We can provide, given sufficient notice, packed lunches for bikers and hikers.

Very welcoming host, this B&B has a lovely garden where it is very pleasant to sit after a long day touring. It's a short walk to good restaurants and bars. Rooms are comfortable and clean and the breakfast is plentiful and delicious! I would fully recommend this B&B!
