Discover Cheshire’s Georgian and Regency treasures at Tabley House, Knutsford, a splendid Grade 1 listed Palladian mansion by John Carr of York. The Leicester family’s collection of paintings by Turner, Lawrence, Lely, Dobson and Northcote was one of the first in England to celebrate British art. The house also contains fine furniture from Chippendale, Bullock and Gillow, plasterwork by Thomas Oliver and carving by Daniel Shillito. The 17th Century chapel with Burne-Jones stained glass window adjoins the Tea Room for light refreshments. The collection’s TV credits include; Flog It!, Antiques Roadtrip and Granada TV’s Forsythe Saga.
The house welcomes coach parties and is located just 2 minutes from Junction 19 of the M6.
