WARNING -Premier Kitchens Cambridge please read this before entering into a contract with them. I spent £29,000 on my kitchen for which i would expect good service this was far from the case. 1 POOR COMMUNICATION AND CUSTOMER SERVICE.. We had an appointment with their surveyor who failed to turn up and we had to chase up to find out what had happened. No appreciation that we had taken time of work for this to happen, so a poor start. Once we had signed the contract we requested a break down of costs, it took 4 WEEKS to get a response, clearly they dont value their customers. 2. ENTICING YOUR CUSTOM. You will probably find that they have some sort of offer on," free fitting" or" we pay the VAT" be careful as it is probably just part of their smoke and mirrors pricing policy. 3. PRICING POLICY- whilst in the showroom the impression is given that items are been costed up and that you will recieve( like most other businesses) a breakdown of costs. This never arrived and when I asked for it, after waiting 4 weeks for a reponse we got a brief breakdown which included £3,000 for fitting, so when I said I thought fitting was free according to their offer at the time, I was given a reply that made no sense and was clearly an attempt to back track. This lack of transparency I believe should be a real concern to consumers. 4. MISLEADING ADVICE- finally when we were buying the kitchen we were told buying 4 AEG appliances would lead to a £250 refund,it turned out you needed to buy 7 appliances to qualify for the £250 refund! Whilst in this case I do believe it was a genuine error by the salesman , it does tend to point to poor training by the company. To sum up if you do use this company do the following. 1. Ask for a breakdown of the price before you sign a contract(they require all money to be paid up front so you have no come back if things go wrong). 2. Get quotes from other companies before you decide. We were excited about having a new kitchen having saved for ages but once you sign the contact Premier dont have must regard for their customers despite the large amount involved and we spent a lot of time chasing up which simply should not be the case
