There when everyone else gave up!
I cannot understand the other review on here at all! Mr Cooke gave my little ferret hope when everybody else gave up! I had previously rushed my (healthy & happy until hours before she was taken ill) 1 year old ferret into the out of hours vets on Monday night. They x-rayed her (for possible blockage), gave her a shot of antibiotics and sent us on our way. Rushed her back to the vets on the Tuesday evening as no improvement; saw Anthony at Easipet Care (Woodley) and he was very good/very thourough but again, gave antibiotic shot and sent on our way. Following morning rushed back to Easipet Care; saw different vet who said there was nothing more they could do and advised we put my little ferret to sleep. We rejected this, requested some subcut fluids be administered and were told good luck and goodbye. By this point I was completely distraught as the 'experts' were saying there was nothing more to be done and what did I know?! Except that they hadn't done any diagnostics...?!?! Finally, we managed to track down Mr Cooke as he was highly recommended by many rescue centers etc. Took Mia there that evening (she was literally upside down at this point, knocking but more like hammering on deaths door!) and he had collected all history from the other vets before my appointment which I thought was fantastic; Mr Cooke took one look at Mia and asked what the other vets couldn't treat if they had no diagnosis?! He then said 'I am going to do everything I can for her' he then listed many drugs/tests etc that he wanted to do and rushed her straight out into his Intensive Care. I was told that it was a real rareity that this happens (so probably shouldn't shout too loudly about this but think this shows that the above comment is quite unfair as Mr Cooke is definitley out for the animals NOT the money) but that evening, as he was so worried about my little ferret he took her home with him and got up throughout the night to take care of her! Mr Cooke found that Mia had a very serious stomach infection. So the other vets wanted to put my baby down over a simple enough tummy infection! The day after we collected Mia, he wanted us to bring her back in to ensure she was heading in the right direction. When Mr Cooke saw Mia his face lit up and we could see and feel how happy/satisfied he was! I honestly cannot put into words what an amazing man Mr Cooke is! A real old school Dr.Dolittle out for the animals! He really is my hero! I would not have a bad word to say about him or the practice as a whole either. I will never go to any vets but here from now on. Thank You Mr Cooke!

Terrible Unprofessional Service
There was a time when Kelperland Vet was extremely good and provided a personal, friendly professional service and this we experienced for our animals for many years. Kelperland then moved to different premises and problems started:- Incorrect medication administered to 2 of our animals, incorrect information given about administration of drugs, paperwork not updated after consultations, paperwork lost, vague and rude reception staff, extremely rude and unhelpful nursing staff, being kept waiting on the telephone for 7 minutes or more on several occasions and so much more! All in all a dreadful experience - especially as one of our animals is terminally ill! We have moved to another vet and Kelperland have left us with this feeling that it is all about the money now and everything else is left slap dash, customer relations poor and the animals not looked after properly as so many mistakes are made! Such a shame! We hope Mr Cooke wakes up to his problems before it is too late!
