The only explanantion I can find as to why this place gets so busy is that they must dish out free HRT patches on the way in.Ok, it doesn't pretend to be anything other than a late drink for the cattle market but it does get dangerously busy in there at weekends, especially downstairs in the basement. Prepare to wait 20 minutes at the bar for a drink, don't leave your coat lying around and expect to leave beyond 4 o'clock.

Charlie Browns is a nightclub which is situated in the heart of Luton Town, close to the central Luton train station and a one minute walk from High Town. In my opinion this place is the worst club in Luton. I have visited Charlie Browns on two occasions and unless they really clean up their act I doubt I will visit again. When you first walk into Charlie Browns nightclub you immediately are put off by the indescribable stench, at lease when there was not a smoking ban this stench was covered by the smell of smoke however now its unbearable! You will also notice the extremely awful decoration, very outdated and looks like it hasn't been touched in 30 years! You will also notice most of the drinks are watered down! I didn't enjoy this place at all and twice is more than enough for me!

It may not be cutting edge cool, it's simply probably too long established to be considered cutting edge cool, but widely considered to be the club in Luton for twenty to thirty somethings. Very well run. Can be absolutely packed but a mature, respectable crowd in a well run venue. On the scale well past mainstream into cool.
