Value

Sainsbury's always seemed to have that upmarket image which epitomised quality items and good value. After all, with Jamie Oliver advertising Sainsburys and their products during every other commercial break on TV, they can't be all that bad. OK, in my opinion they are not the cheapest of the major supermarket leaders like Tesco and Asda, but they do seem to have the best quality items, particularly in their fruit and veg department. Their cuts of meat are also top quality. So in my mind, you pay a little more than others, but you then get a better quality of product. So the balance is do you want quality or do you want cheapness in value. Personally I tend to only use Sainsburys if I want to purchase something special for a special occasion and then do most of my weekly shopping elsewhere.
