Nurse-led care with real holiday experiences, welcoming disabled people, carers and volunteers

Revitalise (formerly known as Vitalise) is a national charity providing respite holidays for disabled people and carers.

Revitalise was founded over 50 years ago (as the Winged Fellowship Trust) and has developed an approach to caring for disabled people that goes far beyond conventional models of respite care.

The charity runs three accessible holiday centres in Chigwell in Essex, Southampton and Southport, each providing 24-hour on-call nursing care and the personal support of volunteers, together with a wide range of accessible excursions, activities and entertainments, in an informal holiday environment. Revitalise can cater for nearly 150 different disabilities and provides breaks of 3, 4 or 7 nights or more.

Accessible excursions, activities and entertainments are an integral feature of each Revitalise break. The charity aims to offer holidays to suit all tastes through a wide range of themed weeks, from culture to sport to music, and give its guests the opportunity to make new friends and try new experiences.

Revitalise also offers inspirational opportunities for volunteers through one of the largest and most diverse volunteer programmes of any UK charity.
