avoid ReCycling at Elephant and Castle. I've heard they used to be good before they changed owners but they definitely aren't anymore. i was sold a bike that then broke (the next day!) and was refused a refund. the guy who worked there was rude and sarcastic. terrible, overpriced shop. got a much better bike off ebay.

This formerly commendable business has gone rapidly downhill since it changed hands a couple of years ago. Not only are the staff routinely rude and patronising, but the brand new bike they sold me turned out to be a death trap when numerous spokes in the back wheel snapped while I was in traffic. Recycling refused to accept liability for the faulty good they sold me and their 'mechanic' tried to make out that the problem was my fault. They did offer discount on the repair, but I wouldn't give this bunch of crooks another penny.

bought a bike here which was overpriced and not working right. they first off told me the problem was in my imagination then when the chain snapped after me having it a week they replaced it with a chain unsuitable for the bike, bike was still not fixed, replaced other parts on it which were sub standard. they wouldn't refund me would only allow me to swop the bike, which would mean i would be waiting around until they got a bike in that was right for me. terrible service. 6 months after taking the bike i spent £180 getting it roadworthy.
