I've been to Rasa many times and it's very reasonable and the food is always lovely. I've been a couple of times recently and they are just too greedy at packing too many people into the restaurant. Even though we'd actually made a reservation, we had to wait 10 minutes for a table. We had to wait 20 minutes to order a drink and poppadoms, and 30 minutes to order our main courses. Even though it seemed completely chaotic and waiters were dropping things all over the place, they were still letting people in throughout the evening and not warning them about the serious backlog.

This is a gem of a restaurant serving glorious South Indian Vegetarian food. We opted for the set meal, where we were brought a selection of starters and main course dishes for £16 per person. This price also included a rice pudding dessert. A word of warning, the portions are big, but they were more than happy to package our leftovers to take home with us! The staff were friendly and attentive, yet never seemed overbearing. They truly enhanced the experience. The restaurant itself is full of character and has been thoughtfully designed. Upon exit there are the traditional after dinner cleansing spices. We will definitely be back!
