Required veterinary care afterwards

Really nice owner and my cavapoo was cut beautifully. She listened to what I wanted and reassured me. Unfortunately my dog ended up in extreme distress and uncomfort. His genital area had been shaved ( he did have a few knots surrounding the area - but these could have been scissored or left.) the lady told me when I called to tell her what happened that she had debated whether or not to shave the area but decided to. How I wish she hadn't. I spent the evening on the phone to the out of hours vet and was advised to bathe the area. Took him to the vet this morning and he is now on antibiotics, cream and a head collar. He has to go back again at the end of the week. So a £45 haircut has resulted in £150+ bill. The lady didn't even offer to help with these costs. I feel terrible that my dog is in such pain and distress because of a haircut.
