Had a yuko hair straightening and it completely ruined my hair! I was told I could have slight breakage as I had my hair bleached 5months ago but said it should be fine and it wouldnt damage my hair. It was bushy, frizzy and static. When I went back for a refund the staff were very rude. I asked for the surpervisors name to make an official complaint and she said "I don't have to give it to you" she then said that I was told about all of the risks which is a lie. I paid £300 for nothing. I'm now in the process of taking this further.

beware - bogus place

Service

If you are looking for a bogus place experience this is the right place. Firstly, be prepared - the customer service you get from reception is more like third world country rather then UK! I was really humiliated when reception lady talked to me as if I was a three year old child proving me that I was wrong. Second and most important is rogue prices. If you have bought a groupon voucher don't assume you got a great deal. They had advertised the treatment that I bought as follows: £600 worth for £169. When I got there it appeared that the voucher had expired, so one of the receptionists has offered me the same course at groupon voucher price, which I have happily agreed to pay. After that the other one came up and said that the prices have actually gone up, and that the course would be £30 more. No problem in principle, but when I was about to pay she then said that the actual price of the treatment is £350, and I could get it for £200 only if I bring cash. OMG, are we in the UK at all? So then I wrote a complaint to the manager asking to clarify the difference in pricing, the manager came up with ridiculous response that the actual price for the treatment is question was indeed £350 and that the receptionist was just trying to be nice to me by offering £200. Why then they advertise on Groupon that the treatment full price is £600 when in reality it's only £350? People buy the vouchers thinking that they are saving £480 when in reality the saving is not more than £180!!

Worst hairdresser's experience I've ever had!

Went here for a Brazilian blow dry, having bought a Groupon offer. This was the worst hairdresser's experience I've ever had! When I arrived, I stood around for 15 minutes while the receptionist chatted away on the phone. There was actually someone in front of me as well, so by the time I was finally seen (and told to take a seat & wait), I'd lost half an hour on the parking meter. A woman with red hair did my hair, she didn't speak a word of English which I don't have a problem with but she was also quite rude. The shampoo was uncomfortable, no relaxing scalp massage as I'm used to at the hairdresser's. She dried my hair with a frayed, rough & ripped up towel, then I noticed that I had white bits at the front of my hair where she'd failed to rinse out the shampoo! I was not given a cape to protect my clothing from the products used, then she walked off and started cutting someone else's hair while I sat there for 25 minutes with noone having offered me a magazine or a drink! Again, it wouldn't have been so bad if she'd have motioned to me that she'd be "ten minutes" or given me something to read! Eventually another stylist came over to apply the product until the red-haired lady came back. I found her rude, rough and would have walked out, had I not previously paid upfront for the service. The other stylist reccomended a salt-free shampoo to maintain the style. I purchased the suggested shampoo, but when I got home I saw that it had chloride in it; in other words - salt! What a joke! I would rather pay more and go elsewhere in future, as I am actually pretty horrified at my treatment here!
