Welcome to Chantry Hall Montessori Nursery School, Muswell Hill.

Thank you for your interest in Chantry Hall Montessori Nursery. We are a new Montessori nursery school, serving families in the Muswell Hill, Alexandra Park and Bounds Green areas. We are in the process of creating a very special place and one we hope will be right for your child.

About Us

We will be offering traditional term time attendance and a Montessori curriculum. We will also offer an extended academic year of 46 weeks for working families. We offer:

In the undercroft, the lower ground floor, a baby and toddler room for ages from 3 to 18 months old.
On the ground floor, a Montessori pre-nursery for children from 18 months to rising 3 years old.
on the first floor a Montessori nursery for children rising 3 to 4 years old.
Small class sizes
Before and after school club facilities for all ages (the nursery will open at 8:00 am and close at 6:00 pm)
A choice of traditional term time attendance (35 weeks p.a.) or an extended year (46 weeks p.a.) to suit working parents.
Holiday activity weeks for children in the half-term, Christmas, Easter and Summer holidays for those not pre-booked on to the extended academic year.

Our Aims

At Chantry Hall we aim to provide a safe, happy and stimulating environment where your child can learn through encouragement, sensitivity to others and mutual respect.

Your child's skills will be developed through exploring and working with the Montessori materials and other selected equipment in conjunction with the Early Learning goals.

Chantry Hall Montessori Nursery School, Muswell Hill, offers a specially tailored curriculum, individual care and attention, fun and friendship with children and other adults and opportunities for you and your family to be directly involved in the progress of your child's development.

Our Classrooms

The classroom is a child-sized world, with chairs, tables and shelves, in appropriate size.

At Chantry Hall, Montessori Nursery, Muswell Hill, It is a unique feature of the ‘prepared environment' that every object in the classroom has a specific place and purpose.

Our classrooms are large, bright, and beautifully arranged, designed for the child's comfort, security and enjoyment. The activities are arranged on low shelving units within reach of even the smallest children. They may work, uninterrupted, for long periods of time at tables or on small mats on the floor where they are naturally comfortable.

The pace is unhurried and although the curriculum is structured, each child moves through it at his or her own pace. The children are free to choose activities which capture their interest, and new activities are introduced as each child is ready for them.
