Accessibility
This is the official accessibility statement for Scoot's UK business directory web site at www.scoot.co.uk. Should you have any queries or comments, please feel free to contact us.
Access Keys
Most modern web browsers support access key functionality, providing an alternative method to select specific links from within web sites that offer access keys. Selecting an access key varies by both browser and operating system type, but typically, pressing ALT and the access key together, or CTRL and the access key together, will select the respective link.
All pages in Scoot's website support the following access keys:
- Access key 0 - Scoot's home page
- Access key 1 - About Scoot
- Access key 2 - Contact Scoot
- Access key 3 - Help page
- Access key 4 - Advertise with Scoot
- Access key 5 - Network Partner information
- Access key 6 - Accessibility information
- Access key 7 - Legal Disclaimer
- Access key 8 - Terms of Service
- Access key 9 - Scoots's Privacy Policy
Standards Compliance
The Scoot business directory complies with the W3C standards for XHTML 1.0 Transitional and, where possible, all priority 1, 2 and 3 guidelines of the W3C Web Content Accessibility Guidelines. Scoot endeavour to use structured semantic markup throughout this site.
Links
Scoot contains links to both internal and external pages; text links feature TITLE attributes to provide additional information regarding the nature of the link.
Where a link exists to a page outside of Scoot's web site, this will open in a new browser window.
Images
All content images within Scoot contain ALT tags.
Visual Design
Scoot uses absolute font sizes, which most modern web browsers are able to resize to user requirements. All web site styling and positioning is handled through Cascading Style Sheets; if your web browser or reading device does not support CSS, the content of each page will still be readable.
