London
London is the capital city of England that lies on the River Thames in the South East of the country. The most highly populated city in the European Union, London is a bustling metropolis and is one of the world's major business, political and cultural centres. London is also one of the worlds major tourist destinations with iconic sights such as Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, Houses Of Parliament and Tower Bridge being recognised the world over. The city is also a major cultural centre with much of the UK's media, music, arts and film industries being based there and some of the countries finest works of art on show at the likes of Tate Modern and The National Gallery. London is also an important transport location with the two main UK railways connecting the city to the rest of the UK and Eurotunnel , as well as four airports and links to the main motorways of England.
