Orkney
Orkney is an island around 16km north of mainland Scotland and is part of a group of islands with the largest usually being referred to as 'The Mainland'. An area of outstanding beauty and ruggedness, Orkney is popular with birdwatchers, anglers and outdoor enthusiasts. Its main settlements are Kirkwall, St Margarets Hope and Stromness.
