Barnet is a town in Hertfordshire in the South of England. Formerly known as Chipping Barnet, the town was historically an important market town with a large fair that attracted many people and as an important stopping point for travellers to and from London, this led to the building of the towns many coaching inns. Modern Barnet includes a busy shopping area on the High Street and is connected to London by train, bus and tube via the Northern Line.
