I went to Chamberlains to get a cut + blonde highlights. The girl who worked there had to use a 'stripper' to remove the previous colour, and she claimed it was very good. After doing that, and being shown a picture of what I wanter + getting a v. detailed despcrition of how I wanted it to look, she bleached highlights + coloured the rest in a colour similar to my natural colour. The highlights turned out way too wide, and she only did half a head, even though I told her it needed to look natural. Also, the other colour looked weird, so I had to come back the day after and break up the highlights with lowlights, putting in highlights in the back, as well as getting rid of the weird colour. On top of all that, I didn't get offered any discount, they even had student discount, but that was only for a certain day each week. No tea or coffee was offered either. During those two days, I spent 7 hours in the hairdressers, and I'm not very happy with the result. Highlights, 'stripper', and cut cost £94, which I don't think is too bad (£18 for cut, £50-something for colour and £20 for stripper). Wouldn't reccommend Chamberlains to anyone, though. They seemed inexperienced and very unprofessional, sadly.
