Stirling is a city in Stirlingshire, a county in Scotland in the United Kingdom. Renowned as 'The Gateway To The Highlands', Stirling is situated where the rolling lowlands meet the rugged highlands and a such has proved popular with visitors to both areas. Its historic attractions such as the magnificent Stirling Castle and The Wallace monument give Stirling an old world appeal and its streets which are lined with gift and craft shops giving visitors a delightful area to spend the day wandering around.
