Paisley

Paisley is a large town in Renfrewshire, roughly around 8 miles to the west of Glasgow. Historically famous for its weaving and textile industry, the town lends its name to the fabric of the same name. Modern day Paisley boasts a bustling high street and shopping area alongside many attractions that give an insight into the towns rich history such as Paisley Museum which was opened in 1871 and was Scotland’s first municipal museum, is host to some magnifcent collections and well as the worlds largest collection of Paisley Shawls. Paisley is also home to St Mirren F.C, their home football team who play in the Scottish Premier League.
