Stravaigin

At Stravaigin we appreciate that the choice of a dining venue must reflect and compliment the nature and profile of the occasion. In our award winning restaurants we are experienced in catering for a diversity of events - Christmas, family gatherings, business lunches, corporate diners, birthdays and graduations to name a few. We offer startling combinations of the finest Scottish produce, knowledgeable and friendly staff, bright annotated wine list and warm atmosphere. Our professional service makes the organisation of these events as simple and efficient as possible, with a choice of menus to suit all occasions and tastes.

Stravaigin is an ideal venue for wedding receptions and has the convenience of being close to Park Circus registry office. The restaurant is available for small or large private parties every day of the week. We have entertained wedding parties of ten to seventy people, providing buffets to full 5 course meals with cocktails, champagne and wine. The restaurant can be as casual or as formal as required. The layout can be changed to suit individual requirements. Over the years we have had wonderful feedback from very satisfied couples who have enjoyed the Stravaigin wedding experience.

The new look Stravaigin Bar And Restaurant

Renowned in Glasgow and beyond for wonderful food, its 'think global, eat local' ethos, and its eclectic, quirky ambience. Throughout our 10 year history we have developed and progressed our food to meet different tastes and trends - whilst staying true to our strong Scottish roots. We have fused a Chilean national dish 'Curanto' a stew of seafood and meats with Scottish mussels, langoustines, Argyllshire lamb and rabbit. We have also taken Scottish Aberdeen Angus sirloin and topped it with Cajun-style prawns and paired Smeeton's Farm lamb fillet with purple conga potatoes. We have even deep-fried a Mars bar for a visiting Canadian who wanted to sample the alternative delights of Scottish cuisine! All the staff have enjoyed the many wine tastings where we actively select the wines for our list, and we have been so successful the Good Food Guide have recognized this by awarding us the accolade of a bottle. We have truly relished every minute of the last decade. Along with our strong team of staff, many of whom have been with us for years, we're looking forward to the next ten and beyond.
