Over the Roof of Norway

Combine the attractions of Oslo and Bergen with one of the world's most spectacular rail journeys. The scenery gets ever more dramatic as you head for the fjords, and you will marvel not just at the nature, but also at the engineering skills that have made this incredible journey possible. If time permits you should certainly break your journey at Voss - an excellent base for exploring the fjords. Alternatively you can change trains at Myrdal, take the mountain railway down to Flam, then the Express Boat to Balestrand. After a couple of days beside the Sognfjord you continue to Bergen on the Express Boat. Extra nights can be added in any centre, and would definitely be worthwhile. It is also possible to combine Voss and Balestrand, or add a tour "Over the Roof of Norway" to the Coastal Voyage and other holidays.

Ice Hotel

The world's largest igloo, Sweden's Ice Hotel offers the ultimate winter break. Our packages all include a night in the Ice Hotel, a night or two in a warm hotel room or cosy cabin within the complex, and an evening Snowmobile Safari "In Search of Northern Lights". Additional activities including husky safaris, reindeer driving, snowshoe trekking and moose safaris can be added as required. Holidays can start with a night in Stockholm, or a night in Narvik in north Norway, then travelling into Sweden on the scenic Ofoten Railway. Killer whale safaris can also be combined with the Ice Hotel on request. Special discounts are available when Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday nights are spent in the Ice Hotel, subject to availability.

Fjord Explorer

A leisurely independent tour allowing you to experience all the classic fjords without the need to drive. Moving around between centres by train, bus or boat, you can just sit back and enjoy the scenery. Each centre offers a variety of excursion possibilities, and many lovely walks. Top quality fjord hotels are featured, and extra nights can be added wherever you wish. This itinerary is just one of many options. You may, for instance, prefer to start with a couple of days in Oslo, then take the train to Voss, or start in Stavanger and take the catamaran to Bergen. Equally, you might choose to return from Alesund to Bergen on the Coastal Voyage and have a last night or two in Bergen. If you would prefer to stay at Ulvik on the Hardangerfjord instead of at Voss, this is also possible. Shorter tours can be arranged if required.
