Orthodontic treatment is usually aimed at straightening teeth and correcting bite problems. This generally involves wearing braces, which can be either fixed or removable. Both children and adults can benefit from orthodontic treatment. We at Sutton Orthodontic Centre are concerned not only with the correction of teeth, but also that of the facial profile. Our goal is to provide you with a smile you will be proud of. When we see you for the first time the orthodontist will examine your face, mouth and teeth and take any necessary X-Rays, photos or moulds (impressions). No actual orthodontic treatment will be carried out at this visit. The orthodontist will then be able to provide you with a detailed treatment plan.
A full range of orthodontic treatment is available, including fixed and removable braces as well as the 'clear' ceramic options. Invisible 'Lingual' or 'Invisalign' braces are also available. It should be noted that not all appliances are suitable or available for all cases. Suitable options will be discussed with you at your treatment planning visit. ALL patients should also be registered with a General Dental Practitioner who will look after their dental care during the period of orthodontic treatment.
Dr. Ashish Dhopatkar is a registered specialist in orthodontics. He carried out his orthodontic training in London and is a part time Consultant and Clinical Lecturer at Birmingham Dental Hospital..Dr. Ashish Patel is a registered specialist in orthodontics. He carried out his general dental and specialist orthodontic training in Birmingham. He continues to maintain a part time clinical interest in the hospital orthodontic service.
