About Us

Founded in 1987 Mediquip is a family run business based in north Suffolk, over the years we have built our reputation on quality and service, offering servicing for medical equipment in both the public and private sectors. We currently have Field Service Engineers covering East Anglia, two Office Staff and one Workshop based Engineer maintaining equipment returned from all areas of the United Kingdom.

In September of 2012, we became +Mediquip Ltd an exciting landmark in life of Mediquip, still operating from the same premises in the rural location of South Norfolk.

Humphrey ADE Unit

The Humphrey ADE-circle anaesthetic breathing system is a unique multipurpose anaesthetic breathing system for adults, children and veterinary used with or without a recycling soda lime canister absorber. It has won notable Design and Engineering Awards. It combines into a single "easy-to-use" system the advantages of the T-piece, Mini-Lack, Lack, Bain and circle systems but without any of their disadvantages. It is even more efficient due to the innovative and unique 4-phase exhaust valve. This new design automatically preserves all useful gases within the system while eliminating all unwanted gas. It is easy to use in any mode. Its simple lever mechanism switches from spontaneous respiration to a ventilator mode without any other adjustment. In any of the three modes of use for spontaneous, manual or controlled ventilation, it is highly efficient in using much lower fresh gas flows (generally around 500 ml/min). Up to 80% savings are possible compared to fresh gas flows used with the Bain or T-piece systems.

Nebulizers

Nebulizers are commonly used for treatment of cystic fibrosis, asthma, COPD and other respiratory diseases. Combustible smoking devices (i.e. asthma cigarettes or cannabis joints), a vaporizer, a Dry Powder Inhaler, or a pressurized Metered Dose Inhaler can also be used to deliver a medical compound for inhalation. Combustible smoking devices and vaporizers are no longer commonly used for medical inhalation, as modern inhalers and nebulizers are more efficient.
