Rotherham is a town in South Yorkshire, England that lies on the Rivers Don and Rother about six miles from Sheffield. With 70 percent of the surrounding area being rural, Rotherham is an ideal base to explore the area and see sights and attractions such as the Rother Valley, Firsby Nature Reserve and Cuckoo Way on the Chesterfield Canal that is said to be the prettiest towpath in England. Rotherham town centre itself has attractions such as the Rotherham Art Gallery, Clifton Park Museum and the York and Lancaster Regimental Museum as well as shopping at the towns tradtitional markets, Parkgate Retail Centre and Meadowhall which is just five minutes away.
