this restaurant must provide the worst indian food in doncaster the food is old .naan bread nearley broke my tooth chicken tikka was raw and red inside .when i complained i was told that the food was fine but i am a chef myself and the food wasnt fine ignorant manger didnt want to listen just paid our bill and left will never go there again waste of money

What a load of rubbish.food was terrible.steak was tiny.everyone was gutted.what a waste of time and money.staff were offensive and rude.offended my wife.DONT GO THERE.GET OUT OF THORNE PLEASE AND LEAVE US ALONE.overcharged for rubbish food.staff nearly caused a riot.

just to put it briefly the worst indian meal i have ever had in 20 yrs it was disgraceful .the food was like asda currys the staff were ignorant service was rubbish waste of money do not go there .

This JAFLONG INDIAN RESTAURANT THORNE is great- I cannot understand the negative reviews recently on this site. The food here is exceptional. The GARLIC MUSHROOM is a recommended starter, and I always have the SPECIAL BENGOL TIGER which comes packed with very large slice chicken and lamb tikka and is a divine curry in my book. The rice is also good- egg rice in particular and on my last visit in September they seem to be giving bigger portions of it now? I am a curry lover and try all sorts of places. Other Indian restaurant on nearby, but JAFLONG just takes it for me. I have never had any problem after eating there. I have eaten at JAFLONG’S regularly for over 1 years and never had any problems.
I RECOMMEND ALL. DON’T GO ANYWHERE BEFORE JAFLONG

We went to JAFLONG THORNE on a semi busy sunday night. We had out of town guests and wanted to go somewhere for indian style food. We read some negative reviews but we tried it anyway. I am sorry that we hadnt tried it sooner. The food was delicious, great portions. very good value for your money. The staff was great; just look good service should be. The manager and waiter were just excellent and very attentive.
I would definitely recommend this place! Visited October 2011

went on friday the place was empty now i no why the service and food was dreadful .the waiters seemed more bothered to hide away then serve us the food was nothing special more like asda microwave meals place was not clean waste of money far better places to go to out of thorne

had a meal at this indian food was not all that .service was shocking restaurant was cold empty apart from us which wasnt a problem lights were of in half the place thought it would have took better care of its customers im not one for believing in reviews but i was disappointed travelled from belton even after reading the reviews toilets were dirty staff wernt even bothered to give good service

we opened jaflong indian in thorne as this place didnt have a quality indian .now we no why it doesnt deserve a indian there the customers are vile .they wouldnt no what quality is if it hit them in the face .there use to cheap kebabs and cans of lagars or a curry in spice hut waste of money and time in thorne .ungratful customers go to your spice hut as im selling and going back to sheffield some people might get offended with this but dirt common will always be common .thone is dump and always will be congratulation soice hut you win .loosers

after reading all the reviews we tried the jaflong .from the minute go we knew we made a mistake saturday night place was almost empty staff didnt seem bothered .starters came out cold and late staff were on mobile phones lagar tasted like bleach .when complained they just shrugged it of main course was blend no taste at all naan bread was hard .i just dont have one good word to say about the place .asked for bill it came to £33 what a waste of money .went home with a copy of the bill when added up it came to £29.50 robbing indians has anyone else had this experience .my friend paid there with his credit card and a week later his details were used to order goods in sheffield is this a coincidence or what

went on saturday night with couple of friends .they only had 2 tables food was not hot tasted old .service was slow it seemed like they wasnt bothered chicken tasted off but hey atleast tried it but not worth the money

pleasantly suprised!

my family had booked a table here 4 my birthday but having read the reviews on here i was horrified! Not wanting to appear ungrateful i went along and was actually pleaseantly suprised. We went on a wednesday for the special £10 meal which was very good value for money. The food was perfectly fine aswell as the service, surroundings and toilets, all of which have been slated by most of the reviews i have read. Can only give my opinion on the experience we had on the night and to be honest we had no complaints

this place is absolutley disgusting the food made me sick and i ended up in hospital for 3 days i will be suing this place i told the waiters the chicken tikka mossala was off but they wouldnt listen the owner is rude and arrogant learn to cook my friend please dont go there ith you children and dont pay by credit card as they will use your details

this place is absolutely filthey the toilets are worse then old public toilets the food isnt fresh my naan bread had mould on it .lamb tikka was harder then a rock my partners was even worse she was sick when she went home please dont sit by the windows as local youths like to throw bricks through it this place is in the wrong place summerfield car park is crawling with rats drug users underage drinkers used syringes drug dealing and you have to go round there to park your car the waiters try the best but the food is horrible and the place always is filthy

thanks for sticking up for us travellers were not all bad jaflong do let us in and yes were a bit loud our children are probabley a bit loud to but our moneys same as yours its not our fault if you ppl dont like travellers thats your problem im always in jaflong yes its loud ppl are swearing but its a restaurant what do u expect but i disagree with the last review as were did you ever see onions in a chicken tikka mossala but this bois are from sheeffield and the cooking style is different foods okay but tell me one restaurant in thorne that can cook spice hut is rubbish

I have no idea what the rest of you are talking about. I regularly order from Jaflong and have never had a problem besides delivery being a little slower on a weekend, which is to be expected. Their Tikka Massala & Lamb Bhunas are two of the best curries I have ever tasted and I have NEVER found any hairs in any of my food.. ALSO How can you expect them to not let Travellers in? Thats disgusting that you're judging them for not being prejudiced like alot of Doncasters restaurants. You take a risk leaving your cars parked anywhere, so Jaflong are hardly responsible for damage caused in their carpark. The teenage Yobs of Thorne are. :)

gobsmacked the food was horrible 6 of us went there for a meal and not one of us liked the food starters were old and smelt of tasted sour the main course was the same you could tell this food was at least 3to 4 days old naan bread had mould on it rice was hard .what a waste of monet the staff were rude young kids everywere

went for a meal to the jaflong .it turned out to be a meal from hell from the start to finish the starters were cold there was hair in the mint sauce we sent them back some fresh starters came they were cold there were children aged 14 getting served alchole drinks people were swearing shouting travellers were throwing food about main course chicken tikka mossala was sour chicken was hard naan bread nearley broke my tooth rice was soggy staff were swearing at each other im sure i fight broke out as one of the waiters ran out my wife and me just froze it was terrible paid bill and went to car park only to find both wing mirrors missing . couldn't believe it but we were warned .jaflong seriously need to learn how to ron a restaurant il rather pay to go to my usuall indian then come to the jaflong

ordered a take away to be delivered wited 1.45 minutes never arrived when it arrived the food was cold .didnt mind put it in the microwave and on to my plate couldnt believe when i saw a long piece of black hair in my boiled rice my chicken madras was like tap water chicken tasted of and foul smell came of it as im not one to complain as i work in the food trade but this was to much even the nan bread was cold and hard my sheek kebab was raw inside mint sauce was off .i wrang up and complained but the rude staff said the boss was out and took my number to wring me back ive been waitjng for a week but i guess that call will never come i will be never going there again

just to say it was the worst meal i ever had .the food was cold didnt taste of anything nan bread was hard service was horrible as we were the only table there the waiters couldnt be bothered with us the toilets were dirty it was cold .thorne had it share of rubbish restraunts but this tops them all even on the way out the drunks from bar next door shouted abuse at us never again il rather travell to have a propher curry then go to jaflong

went there the food was horrible went straight through me had a fish dish it was frozen inside my partners chiken tikka had a piece of hair and what clearley looked as veins on the chicken waiter said it was food colouring mint sauce was off rice smelled like bleach i was ill for five days i will never set foot in that place again toilets were dirty and to put icing on the cake we got insulted by gypsies who think they own everything

iw was a meal out of hell the curry was like tap water rice smelled and tasted like a week old chicken tikka mossala was bitter chicken was hard .young kids were getting served alchole swearing smoking in toilets cant believe what i saw.one table of 8 were kids that i knew .my partner had food poisoning and had to go to hospital.but we went against reporting them to the health as it was our own fault as freinds had warned us never again

went into jaflong as i was passing by with my family,thought it was going to be a good meal but turned out to a meal from hell, i had ordered a jaflong bengal tiger which tasted awful and very runny my wife orderd a ctm that was actually cooked with onions also tasted discusting, i will never be going back again errrrrr :(

went for the first time as i live round the corner the restaurant was nicely decorated it wasnt busy we ordered our food starters came out in 2 minutes my chicken tika was cold inside but i didnt say anything main course i ordered a madras it was like chicken water and chilli powder mixed together rice tasted and smelled like it was few days old all my friends were complaining but waiter wasnt taking any notice at all we were in and out in 45 minutes 6 of us not impressed waste of money next time i will stick to my usual but i dont want to put the waiters down its not there fault if chef cant cook toilets were filthy lagar was definitely out of a can and not draught ps the waiters smelled of bad odour and definitely needs to buy body spray

read reviews but still thought id try it everything is true about this place food is horrible staff are rude and not bothered place is filthy majority of the dinners are young or drunk swearing not a place you would take your partner or kids 12years experience they claim more like 12 days has the goverment reversed the law on smoking in restaurants i ordered a fish dish this fish must have been frozen for years `as i bit inti it it was iced still inside thought it was fresh food they cook first time and last never again and yes the carpark was crawling with yound drunk teenagers and rubbish not to mention rats maybe some body can order a rat tika mossala

ordered a take away from jaflong it took 1.45 minutes to arrive it was cold cant believe it when we opened the chicken madras container to warm up there was a plastic bit in it in further looking at it we realised it was a plaster which had come of some bodys finger it was still bloody wrang up a waiter picked up we explained what had happen the waiter just said no its not ours you must have ordered from somewere else after arguing wioth him for 10 minutes he told us to get lost and if we didnt like it to go some were else i hanged up and will be definatley going somewere else the council best of all is i work in a local shop near them and they come there to buy all sorts that are definatley freshley cooked like they say

went tonight for a meal very busy for starters came out cold sheek kebab was raw inside had a chicken tikka massala it was cold and had 3 pieces of hair in it didnt even bother complaining as the waiters were un polite and customers were swearing and complaining anyway my red wine had bits in it my partner just laughed and said told you so to many young and very drunk customers left all the food wasnt even asked if we enjoyed our meal waiters didnt seem bothered found out from one of the waiters that all the food was cooked before hand toilets were filthy there was what looked like rat droppings if your drunk and arnt bothered about quality food and service jaflong is the place for you by the way watch your car when you park round the back mine had a wing mirror missing

the food was terrible service was disgraceful restraunt was almost empty waiters weren't even bothered apart from sitting us down and taking our money ive never tasted food so foul in my life cant believe my friends talked me into going to this place only had a table of 8 and all they were doing is swearing toilet was dirty smelled of smoke back entrance was dirty and crawling with rats how on earth did this place get 3 stars for health and hygiene all the waiters did were speak in there language and laughed when we asked for some thing i would never go there again or recommend anyone

went there for a meal it was dead apart from few tables with young lads the food and service was awful the restraunt smelled of cannabis of the traveller lads the staff wernt bothered the lads were swearing all the time we were there and kept on abusing us the waiters just ignored them couldnt believe it people please beware of going to the jaflong best of all i think the staff were terrified of the lads as we went out at the back for a smoke the lads went out with us and started smoking cannabis nobody said a word to them never again no wonder nobody wants to go out for a night in thorne and if you do plz dont park your car round the back of summerfield as it was ful of underage drinkers got a nice present all side of car scratched well that was a expensive night out

WE FOUND YOU COULD ORDER OVER THE INTERNET AND THOUGHT IT WAS SUCH A GOOD IDEA. PLACED OUR ORDER AT 6.25PM ON A SATURDAY NIGHT. WAITED OVER AN HOUR (EVEN THOUGH IT SAID ON THE WEBSITE THAT THE WAITING TIME WAS 45 MINUTES). WE RANG AND WAS TOLD THAT THE ORDER WAS ON ITS WAY. 20 MINUTES LATER STILL NO SIGN OF FOOD! RANG AGAIN AND TOLD THE ORDER WAS ON ITS WAY. AFTER 2 HOURS WE RANG TO CANCEL THE ORDER. TWENTY MINUTES LATER THEY RANG TO ASCERTAIN ORDER DETAILS! TOTAL LOAD OF IDIOTS!! DO NOT GO THERE.
