The Coquetvale was originally built as the Station Hotel around 1890 to service the nearby railway station now demolished. It now is home to a busy hotel offering good quality en suite accommodation for holiday makers and local business visitors, a very popular Restaurant Italia Plus and a great location for the local community to meet and celebrate. We're in the ideal location to act as a base to tour Northumberland and the borders as we are within easy driving range of an area from Tyneside in the south right up to the borders in the north. Spend a few days and enjoy a unique mix of wild country, buzzing cosmopolitan city and rugged coastline. So what's special about us? Well, many things, but the icing on the cake is our very own Italian restaurant. There are many Italian restaurants in the region, but we truly believe that ours is something really special. Visit our dining section to find out more.
