Bunk Barn
Our latest feature is a new log cabin bunk barn.
The accommodation consists of two rooms with double bunks in each and a common room with facilities. There is also a bed settee which could sleep a further two people.
Individual bunks are bookable at a nightly rate or the whole can be booked per night or at a discounted rate for longer periods.
The bunk barn is well insulated, centrally heated and is situated adjacent to the new shower and toilet facility which also includes a laundry room with fridge freezer.
This accommodation would ideally suit walkers who want more comfort than a tent, particularly out of season, or may be booked as emergency bad weather contingency.
Bedding can also be hired at extra cost, or you are welcome just to use your own sleeping bag.
Walking Breaks
Using the Bunk Barn as your base, Hadrian's Wall Camp Site now offers tailor-made walking breaks of four / five nights, from Monday to Friday or over weekends.
We offer visitors the opportunity to see the wonderful walking afforded by the area - and not just Hadrian's Wall. Walks can be focused on interests such as natural history, local history, Roman history to name but a few.
Comfortable accommodation in our centrally heated bunk barn will also include full board, pub lunches, picnics and visits to local sites of interest.
Groups of up to eight people can be catered for and your guide will organise fascinating, breathtaking and exhilerating walks for those who like a gentle three or four mile hike to people who crave a more strenuous ten/twelve mile trek. All transport and meals will be organised plus traditional Northumberland food and evening entertainment - you tell us what you want and we will organise it!.
Our guide has twenty years experience in information and interpretation, first aid certificate and an in-depth knowledge of the area. Specialist subjects can also be catered for - landscaping, painting, photography and birdwatching.
Telephone or email for details - your wish is our command!.
