T and K Precision is a family-owned and run business, originally based in London,
who are specialist suppliers to the motor racing industry. Our high-tolerance,
fast turnaround Thread Rolled Studs and Fixings are made complete for customers
in Formula 1 and Indy Cart Series engine manufacturers, as well as most major
Formula 1 racing teams.
We are also exclusive suppliers to many GT Endurance and British Touring Car teams.
T and K can boast a total nationwide customer service, as we offer complete part manufacture as well as turning, grinding and milling of components, and other associated operations.
Our plant is ISO 9001-2000 accredited and our fully computerised production systems and procedures ensure lot traceability. All of our bought-in material can be traced through
manufacture and beyond, for a 10-year duration, which meets the demands of the most fastidious customers.
Ranging in size from 3mm through to 50mm diameter, our precision turned parts are made from an extensive range of specialised materials - Titanium... MP35N ... Maraging and Heat Treatable Stainless Steels ... High Tensile 's' series Alloy Steels ... Aluminium Bronze and Plastics ... to more conventional materials such as Copper ... Brass ... Aluminium ... Low Carbon Steels ... Free Cutting Steels.
Our expertise in machining these materals to very close dimensional tolerances and surface finishes has won T and K orders, not only from the motor racing industry, but also for applications such as Medical and Automotive equipment, Hydraulic and Pneumatic systems, Photographic and Audio-Visual equipment, as well as being favoured as a supplier to some national government installations.
At T and K precision we are currently specialising in high-tolerance, fast turnaround
thread rolled studs specifically for the motor racing industry.
The thread rolling process produces results far superior to those of traditional "cut" threads,as the thread rolls used are optically ground and "cold form" the thread on to a pre-machined blank, producing a thread of perfect form, pitch and accuracy - within microns - whilst eliminating weak spots and stress points - the burrs and toolmarks usually found on a cut thread.
Certain materials have the characteristic of work hardening when being rolled - resulting in threads of greater strength and wear resistance. Virtually all materials can be rolled, including stainless steel, nimonics, titanium and heat treated steels. For further information, please visit our website, or call on 01604 493208.
