I too engaged KEVIN, to do a conservatory, but we had soooooooooooo many probllems. Spent £10,000 and its a load of rubbish. cant walk on the floor in the winter, as so much condensation, as no insulation. The walls are pissed, the roofline is pissed. The roof is of such poor quality it cant take any weight, and where is has been built pissed there is only 1/4 inch of the polycarb roof actually on the supports. Waiting for the roof to blow off. The workmen says they are embarresed as they have to face the public, and he has already been exposed on the Johnathon Vernon Smith Consumer show on BBC radio Northampton, cos a women said the walls in her conservatory were black with mould!! The inline slider door frame is now cracked. There is a draught through it, so dont know, how much damage has been caused by the crack in the inside of the frame. kevin WONT answer the phone. When we gave him the deposit we were told work would commence the next week, as he had a slot free as the pople have gone on holiday. We didnt see him for 4 months, but the lefty us with wholes dug in the garden. This man has No heart, and he does not care about the hardship he causes, and the emotional stress is causes amongst families. I hope he is locked up for fraud. I had problems with the door frame falling out at the beginning, and he would not reply to me., So I phoned FENSA and as the door, was where my original back door was, it was covered by them. he did not respond to them, So in the end they suspended him from FENSA, and then after about 4 weeks, he sent a workman around, who just filled the gap with filler. I cant use the door now, as you can see it moving the wall................. I am really surprised, no one has demolished his house, on the GOLF course in Northampton. !!

Avoid this company. Poor service, poor quality, no respect and sheer incompetence and arrogance proven by the following; Installed dangerous electrics, badly installed kitchen, completely destroyed £2000 worth of kitchen floor, poorly installed plumbing and heating, poorly fitted doors and skirting boards the list could go on Put it this way I have spent almost as much putting the job right as I did engaging with brittania.

Avoid this cowboy at all cost. We engaged Kevin in October 2010. Probably the worst decision I have ever made. Taken in by his charming sales technique we ordered a garage conversion,kitchen remodel and a conservatory. In summary poor quality shoddy workmanship, incompetence, and sheer arrogance. I have never met a bigger liar. Kevins bodge it squad wrecked my kitchen, my kitchen floor and flooded my conservatory. Do not give him any business.

Oh dear..no wonder we can't get hold of Kevin McCahill! We're one of the people who were taken in by his charm and good salemanship! We paid cash and eventually did get a conservatory finally completed in Dec 09. The workforce we had were superb, but OMG does Kevin let everyone down. We paid £1000 extra for Pilkington K glass and we didn't get it. We've been chasing Kevin constantly since then. After Kevin came out in Jan 12 to take samples of our current roof, and made promises to replace the whole lot we're still waiting. We have discovered this was only for his own benefit. I could go on!! After about 25 calls and texts, no response. But how's this, I know he is still operating! He called a friend of ours last week asking if they wanted a conservatory since he'd received a call from them. I will be calling the bankrupcy practitioner tomorrow to get more advice on where we go now...though I hold no hope of getting our roof replaced. Let's hear more... Interesting to hear M Goodes comments on a change in workforce as I know most if not all his workforce were with him in 2009 when our work was done!

Avoid at all costs! Kevin is a Con Man. Kevin was declared bankrupt at Northampton County Court on 29th February 2012. Before that he had an Individual Voluntary Arrangement since 2010. His website is still up and running - still saying he is FENSA registered - he isn't, just check by calling FENSA and they will tell you that they have reregistered him for not responding to requests from them. His mobile phone (which he never answers) goes through to a voice mail message saying "thank you for calling Britannia Conservatories..." He still owes me £2800 as the job he did was so bad it has been condemed (not suitable damp proofing, ill fitting doors and windows and 43 other problems) Kevin took my deposit before Christmas. The work was to be completed the first week of the new year, no calls, no response to emails or phone messages and no sign of the work even started let alone finished. Only after threatening county court action did he respond. Told me that it was because he had been sick, then further delays due to "i have a new install manger", then to say that they need to come around again to look at electrics before they start (although they had done a full site survey) Over 2 months after the original contract date for the work to be completed and the work is was not completed. Kevin denies having agreed the original date (bad luck Kevin, it's in an email from you) and also denies that self level screed floor, skirting board and plastering walls were also in the contract (again, bad luck Kevin - these were all in your quote). Not forgetting that Kevin had also ordered the wrong glass (ordered with white spacers not bronze to go with the rosewood frame) and the fitter Mark, supposedly didn't notice the "mistake" either. Do not deal with this Con Man. I'm happy to talk with anyone who is thinking of using this company or has used them to tell them what to watch out for! I worked for this guy for a short time. He will take a large deposit and your conservatory base will go down you shall think all is well untill he asks you for more money. Once he has it you will not hear of see this man again untill you threaten court action . He is a rude,Horid man full of lies take my advise and Stay Clear of this man and his promises.

In the beginning I did have some issues with this company but these have now been resolved. My conservatory was completed this week and to a very high standard which I am highly satisfied with. There have been changes in the work force at Britannia and the Installation Manager who is new to the company is both professional and comitted to giving a very high standard of work.

Told me that it was because he had been sick, then further delays due to "i have a new install manger", then to say that they need to come around again to look at electrics before they start (although they had done a full site survey) and now to say that the workman not be done when i am around (I am now only available at weekends and had made provision to be available for original delivery dates) - now trying to say I'm stopping them from doing the work! Looks like a trip to the county court to get my money back and find a professional company. Do not deal with this cowboy.
