Performing at weddings, Birthday parties, Dinner Presentations, New Year and Pipe Band Competitions in Scotland & England including World, Scottish and British Championships. Phil McConnell is a Traditional Wedding Bagpiper who will make a wonderful addition to your wedding, creating a touch of flair. To make your day memorable from the start, I will play for your guest as they arrive at your wedding playing a selection of lively tunes. The bride and the bride's maids will also be greeted before being piped in to the ceremony. I can play during the ceremony, a hymn such as Amazing grace. Or during the signing of the register. I will play as the guests are leaving and provide a few tunes while pictures are being taken. I can play at the reception during the cocktail hour and then I will play the bride and groom to the top table for the wedding breakfast, offering uniqueness to your special day.
Traditional bagpipers have been used at military and state funerals for centuries; piping is becoming more of a common feature at everyday funerals. The Bagpipes add a special touch to a funeral providing sweet haunting music. The sound of the bagpipe is the perfect send off for your loved ones. A piper can play at the church and can walk in front of the hearse leading the funeral cars up the drive to the graveside or to the Crematorium. A piper can play after the coffin has been lowered into ground after the minister has said the last prayer. At the Crematorium it is nice to have the piper walk through the room playing a lament as the curtains are being drawn.
