Salford is an area within the Borough Of Greater Manchester in the North West of England. A major factory town and inland port during the 18th century , Salford was at that time a more important site than neighbouring Manchester though this changed during the industrial revolution. Modern Salford is home to large residential areas and some incredible tourist attractions that have emerged during the regeneration of the area.
