Decided to eat here after visiting Lancaster for the day. The town was lovely, which could not be said about this restaurant. Should have read the other online reviews on first I guess. Food was chewy and mildly warm to say the least. We had a 5 year old with us and they charged us the same as an adult for her to eat the buffet. I mean, come on!! To be honest, we were just glad to get out of the place. I will return to Lancaster again as I loved the place, but Bamboo Gardens will not get any of my business. I wouldn't feed what they served to my dog and he eats just about anything

Visited this restaurant on the way home from a short holiday and decided that our last meal should be something a bit more special than at a motorway service station. We asked a local for directions to the nearest place to eat. He mentioned this restaurant, but said to avoid it, however, it was close by and we all fancied some Chinese cuisine. Oh how I wish I had taken that locals advice. The place was empty (it was a Saturday evening), however the member of staff seemed friendly and guided us to a table where we elected to have the buffet. There was a choice of about 6 items, the majority of which were dried out and had obviously been lying out for some time. We quickly ate up and asked for our bill and to our horror were charged £60. We were a family of 2 adults, a 9 year old and a 7 year old. When I questioned the amount, I was told that they did not offer any children's rates, both children were charged the same rate as adults. What a rip off, I would recommend to avoid this establishment. I spoke to the Manageress, who was completely unbudging, she stated that she had to charge full prices for children to subsidise the number of 'large' adult who regularly come in and eat massive portions.
