K-Sat can provide all types of TV aerials, standard, medium gain, high gain and extra high gain. Also special low noise amplification can if needed be added. FREEVIEW Aerials ~ Aerial up-grades We can provide 1 aerial to run 1, 2, 3, 4 or any number of rooms, giving equally good results in each room. Aerials are manufactured to differing standards this shows up in the price, the mechanical construction and it's electromagnetic performance. The aerial has to receive a number of different signals from the required transmitter in an even manner, it has to reject unwanted signals from the side and back as they would cause interference and could swamp the wanted signals. All of this becomes even more important when you want digital reception. A digital aerial is manufactured slightly differently and makes use of a balun. In all cases good quality aerials and cable are the best bet! Will an analogue aerial work a digital set top box (Freeview)? Yes and No - It will if the received signals are clean and above a certain threshold and the analogue signal and digital signals are balanced. In practice this means if you normally have trouble free reception (a good channel 5 is an excellent indicator) you can just plug in and view. In a lot of cases this is what happens. When using digital if freezing and blocking or sound problems occur, then you would benefit from a professionally installed digital aerial.

Digital Television is already here Anyone who subscribes to Sky is using digital People with Freeview set top boxes have gone digital. Cable subscribers more and more are receiving digital only services. Most of these viewers still receive analogue (normal TV) along with the digital services. This is where problems may arise at switchover because this analogue reception is used by most current video recorders, being able to watch one channel while recording another for example. At switchover the analogue will disappear and digital only will become normal TV. Now Freesat, Freesat + and Freesat HD is available - like Sky but no subscription prvides all the UK terrestrial channels plus lots of free satellite channels
