Blackburn

Blackburn is a town in Lancashire that was a key centre for the textile industry during the industrial revolution. These days Blackburn has a thriving town centre with superb shopping which includes the refurbished Blackburn shopping centre and the largest under cover market in the North West as well as an array of cafes, bars, restaurants and nightclubs to suit every pocket and palate.Fans of music, comedy and other performing arts will find what they want at the King Georges Hall which appears on the tour dates of many major acts and artists. Blackburn is also close to Lancashire's Hill Country, with moorland, farmland and wooded valley all within easy reach of the city and a range of routes from mini expeditions to leasurely strolls.
